Family Bible Study Time

It is important to set aside time every day to talk about God and His Word with your children. You can use many different methods and approaches including some of the following ideas:

  • Family devotional book (can buy simple bible story books online)
  • Planned topics or studies
  • Sing songs together
  • Focus on prayer and talk about people and things to pray about

Dalraida put together a “Family Bible Hour” book that can be used during this family time. The book has 52 different stories with about 10 facts for each that can be read together and used each week as memorization facts.

Worship Time

Worship time can often be very difficult when you have young children. Look for ways to help keep their attention while also training them about the purpose and importance of worship. Consider some of these suggestions:

  • Talk to children before coming to services to let them know what is expected
  • Use bible-based coloring sheets, puzzles, and other activities when they are young
  • Encourage children to stop and pray when the church prays
  • As they get older, limit snacks and encourage them to listen more
  • Use “Worship Notes” pages to help them focus on the worship
